Connect AI tools to GTD Brain

GTD Brain ships a hosted MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, so Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, and any other MCP-capable assistant can read, add, edit, move, and archive the cards on your board — in plain language. They can never delete a card. You sign in once with the same email code you use on the web; there’s no password or API token to copy, and the connection then keeps working on its own.

Your connection address

Every setup below uses the same address — GTD Brain’s MCP server:

Connect Claude

  1. Open Claude → Settings → Connectors.
  2. Click “Add custom connector” (needs a paid Claude plan).
  3. Name it “GTD Brain” and paste the address above into “Remote MCP server URL”, then click Add.
  4. Sign in with your email code and click Allow.

Connect ChatGPT

  1. Open ChatGPT → Settings → Connectors.
  2. Click “Add custom connector” (needs a paid ChatGPT plan).
  3. Paste the address above and click Connect.
  4. Sign in with your email code and click Allow.

Connect Claude Code

  1. In a terminal, run:
  2. claude mcp add --transport http gtdbrain https://mcp.gtdbrain.com/api/gtdbrain/v1/mcp
  3. A browser opens — sign in with your email code and click Allow.

What can it do?

Once connected, ask your assistant things like “what’s in my Next Actions?”, “add ‘book dentist’ to my inbox”, or “move the tax card to Waiting For”. The assistant sees the same board you do — columns, cards, notes, and contexts — and every change syncs instantly to the web, iOS, and Android apps. Cards can be archived but never deleted, so nothing is ever lost to a misfired prompt.
